District 2 Sports talks some region basketball play with 4 local coaches. The guys start with Salem Spartans HC, Kevin Garst, who has been at Salem for 19yrs. Salem had a solid year at 20-4 and open region play at GW-Danville. District 2 is then joined by PH-Glade Spring HC, Frederick Selfe, in his 6th year. The Rebels finished at 22-3 and claimed their 1st Hogoheegee tournament championship and 2nd district title ever. The Rebels are awaiting the winner of Twin Valley and Twin Springs. 1st year HC of the LCA Bulldogs, Matthew Klein, had a great year at 18-5 and have already gotten a taste of region play after a huge win over Rocktown. They are playing the 4 seed Wilson Memorial. E.C. Glass basketball is the #1 seed in the south for Region 4D. DJ Best is in his 7th season as the HC and is looking to get back to VCU as he did just a couple years ago.

District 2 had the pleasure of speaking with the ODAC's leading scorer, Jordan Phillips-Mcloyd. Jordan is averaging 20.3ppg over the season and sits in first place for the ODAC. Jordan talks about his high school career at Science Hill High School and being recruited to Randolph College. Jordan provided his experience in dealing with the portal and his decision to return back to Randolph. Jordan spoke highly of Coach Kee and his freedom in the offense to go get a bucket. The guys also discussed their top 10 update.

District 2 Sports is proud to have Head Men's basketball coach of the University of Mary Washington Eagles, Coach Marcus Khan. The guys discussed the latest standings in the ODAC and the possibility of having 4-5 bids into the NCAA Tournament. Coach Khan was able to coach in a National Championship game while at Cabrini and hopes to bring the same standard to UMW.

District 2 is then joined by legendary high school basketball coach in VA, Coach Bill Pope of the Northside Vikings. The guys preview coach's career and their big game tonight against GW-Danville Eagles who are #2 in the poll.

The guys are joined by 1st year HC of the Patrick and Henry Community College Patriots Men's basketball team, Dan Milloy. Coach Millloy has vast knowledge of the game from stops at P&HCC, Ferrum, and Bethel High School. Coach has also traveled around to several schools to assist with camps and further his basketball interests. Coach talks about his Patriots in NJCAA and competing for a region title.

Coach Stinespring has been tasked with reviving a football program that has been dormant since 1942 as WWII shut down the program. Coach Stinespring is building the program from the foundation up. The Maroons played a JV schedule in 2024, but will play a full ODAC slate in 2025. This week's guest is Coach Scott Lemn, Head Ball Coach of the Bridgewater College Eagles. Coach is in his 4th season as the head coach. The guys discuss BC's season thus far and go back in time and talk about the former Rimington Award winning lineman at JMU. District 2 is back with another episode involving an ODAC university. Mr. Danny Miller, Interim AD and former HOF Volleyball coach joins the program to talk about his historic career. District 2 updates there Super 10 teams for the week as last week's games are discussed and VHSL power points are released. ODAC kicked off its first week of conference play with some great games. Shout out to UVA-Wise, Bluefield, and CNU as they continue to play towards conference crowns. UNC loses again and Florida can't stop winning, unfortunately. District 2 Sports talks with CNU Head Football Coach, Paul Crowley. CNU is 2-1 on the year with road wins at Trine and Gettysburg College. In their first 4 games they have played on the road in other states and then hosted 2 Top 10 opponents at home. The guys also discuss their updated Super 10 after a couple of losses last week. We continue to pray for all those who were in the path of Hurricane Helene which decimated communities along the Blue Ridge Mountains. Quiet week in the ODAC with only one game. This week the guys talk hoops with Hargrave Military Academy PG head coach Thomas Messinger! Hargrave is our Southside spotlight team of the week; 14-0 so far this year and looking strong! GFTS react to the NFL divisional games and pick the Conference championship games. NHL is back and the CAPS are 2-0-1 and looking strong. UFC had a big weekend with Holloway vs Kattar and have Poirier vs McGregor 2 this weekend. UVA is looking strong in the ACC with VT right behind them.
